Artist behind the Body Art....
at the International Tattoo Convention.
A salute to the art of the tattoo wouldn't be complete without a few images
of the artist themselves in the act of creating their masterpieces.

Week of 26 September 2011 (cont.)

Now on to other body parts.....
We started with the legs,
now on to the back, chest, arms, and head (yes, the head!)
By the time I'm done sharing photos from the tattoo convention
you'll probably have had more than your fill of this subject!
That said, there were so many interesting images
I'm going to continue to share them over the coming days.
Hope you enjoy :)

Backs....
with lots of ink...
and chests...
This guy was getting the geometric pattern on his chest
all over his entire back
and arms...
as well as fingers - she had TINY WIFE written across her fingers
and even up the neck and over the head!
The artists and tattoo art at the convention were awesome.
If you appreciate art and have the opportunity to attend a tattoo convention
it's definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful Wildlife

To follow on last weeks posting of Ring-tailed Lemurs ,
this week continues the wildlife theme.  Photographing wildlife and nature are
favorite subjects of mine.  The photo shoot at the Paradise Wildlife Park offered some
great opportunities to capture wildlife on camera however not all habitats
allowed unrestricted viewing.  Capturing the below subjects offered plenty of challenges
and thus opportunities for testing our skills to eliminate the man-made structures in
the habitats.  Zoom and depth of field helped in some cases however
it didn't work in every case (as you will see below).
Hope you enjoy these natural beauties....

Wild and Wonderful!!!
A visit to the Paradise Wildlife Park this past weekend for a photo shoot
with the animals proved to be a lot of fun.   I've photographed animals previously
in the wild and in zoos but this experience proved to be a bit different.
The park is home to some beautiful big cats however, at the end of the day,
I have to say the Ring-tailed Lemur were probably my favorite.
We were given the opportunity to enter their habitat and interact with them.
The Lemurs proved to be very playful and curious
climbing on my backpack, my camera, and me!
Below are a few images of my new furry friends :)

Awaiting Travel.....
I've been traveling the past two weeks and have really not had much time
or been inclined to take many photos while on the road.
Since I didn't take many other pics I snapped a few with my pocket camera
(Canon powershot SD1400 IS) while in transit.
Funny how many people were just as aware of me taking photos of them
with the little camera as they are when I have my Canon DSLR!
Guess I just need to get quicker and stop messing with the zoom trying to crop pics so much :)

Doesn't look like anyone is happy here....
It's London -- how can they all be so unhappy?

Guess she found a good article....

Story telling DOORS....
European architecture provides a wide variety of beautiful
windows and doors.  The history and stories are not always obvious.
Many doors in England offer a hint of the history or story behind
a given residence.  Guess we'll have to use our imagination to finish the story :)
Below are just a few that have caught my attention during my travels.
